Every day we are amazed and thankful to our community members for taking us to places we have never seen before. When we in the morning check into the Mapillary world there is always something exciting and surprising to discover. We think this is amazing and wanted to share some of our favorite tours.
Here we are looking down Rio de l'Alboro from Venice's Grand Canal with comstar. To the left is The Gritti Palace, a 5 star hotel that has hosted the likes of Ernest Hemingway and William Somerset Maugham. On the right is Palazzo Ferro Fini, two separate buildings that were combined in the 1860s to create a luxury hotel. Both historic buildings offer a sublime place to watch the boats of the Grand Canal go past.
We love this walk from stonor. We can almost feel the white sand under our feet. The walk is from one of the beautiful beaches of the island Zanzibar, which is located in the Indian Ocean, just 25 km off the coast of mainland Tanzania.
Aizuwakamatsu Castle, Japan
Tometome, one of our best Japan contributors is sharing his view of Honshu. Aizuwakamatsu Castle, sometimes referred to as Tsuruga Castle is in fact a replica of the original 14th century castle that was demolished in 1874. Significant damage incurred in the Battle of Aizu during the Boshin War unfortunately made the original structurally unsound.
A big thank you to everyone who allow us to take a look at your favorite places. We know this is a small sample of all the amazing places out there and we will continue to look for great panoramas, bike rides, car drives and walks. If you have some you want to share with the community let us and other members know.
