International Open Data Day

Today is International Open Data Day! It's been great to see pockets of Mapillary activity at Open Data events all over the world.

New York

I checked out NYC School of Data, a day-long conference about civic technology and open data, organized by BetaNYC.

Eric Arcmijo (@rcrmj) gave a presentation on capturing street photos with Mapillary at Open Data Day Santa Cruz. Here's a sequence he captured of San José de Chiquitos -- a former Jesuit reduction, now a UNESCO World Heritage Site:

Matteo Tempestini (il_tempe)spearheaded a week-long event to map his beautiful town of Galciana, Prato in Tuscany. You can see the results of his team's effort below and read his call to action here.


Mapillary was part of the toolkit for Open Data Day in Mexico City. The winning team used us for geotagging and editing OSM.
