Photo Mapping the World with YouthMappers

Announcing our partnership with YouthMappers!

We’re proud to announce our partnership with YouthMappers!

YouthMappers logo

YouthMappers is a global network of student-led university chapters dedicated to mapping real-world challenges. The consortium was founded in 2015 by Texas Tech University, George Washington University, and West Virginia University and funded by the USAID GeoCenter. After its first eight months, the network has 30 universities in 12 countries, and is growing. YouthMappers supports student leaders to create new chapter groups on their own campuses or affiliate existing groups into the network.

Mapillary’s mission to create a photo representation of the world through crowdsourcing complements YouthMapper’s mission to cultivate a generation of young leaders to define their world by mapping it. Starting in 2016, all YouthMappers chapters will be eligible for Mapillary’s educational outreach program (MapillaryEDU) to access free tools, photo-mapping equipment, and other benefits.

To learn more about YouthMappers and our educational initiatives, come by our booth or join our photo exploration of Vrije Universiteit Brussels at this year’s State of The Map. We'd love to meet you! You can always get in touch with us via email as well.
