This grant cycle features professional-grade equipment to help you capture high-quality, stunning 8K 360-degree street-level imagery. Each recipient will receive a comprehensive kit to support their mapping efforts!

What's New for 2026?

Building on the success of previous rounds, we have introduced several enhancements to foster a stronger contributor community and broaden our impact:

• Latest Hardware: We are providing the updated GoPro MAX 2 cameras for improved performance and imagery quality.
• More Cameras: We have increased the number of cameras available in this round to support more mappers globally.
• Mapillary Swag Pack: Grantees who maintain regular uploads within the first 3 months of receiving their award will be rewarded with a special swag gift box.

Mapillary Camera Grant Program 3.0

The Mapillary Camera Grant Program 3.0 is designed to expand the availability of high-quality 360º imagery in urban areas, strengthen community collaboration by encouraging shared camera usage among contributors and organizations through a dedicated grantee community, and support open geospatial data by contributing imagery and insights to Mapillary and OpenStreetMap.

Who is eligible to apply?

We want to hear your story. If you are driven to capture street-level imagery and improve global map data, we invite you to apply. We welcome applications from both individuals and organizations.

Who We Are Looking For

• High-Volume Contributors: Mappers with a track record of active contributions to Mapillary and a clear, actionable plan for large-scale capture.
• Urban Focus: Applicants targeting high-density or rapidly changing urban areas where up-to-date imagery is needed most.
• Community Champions: Passionate, active members of the open-mapping ecosystem who want to help the Mapillary or OpenStreetMap community improve maps worldwide.
